u can strengthen it up by using hfi hammering. high frequency hammering of the weld

You are all set,. Gotta relax bro, you are not going to get hurt. The car has total safety built in and you have all the safety gear. Remember what Uncle Rosie said, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." The meaning of that is that fear can make us react to hasty or make stupid decisions and mistakes because of not thinking clearly. This is when we know we have the skills and the means to accomplish the objective but fear destroys the opportunity. That can be in a relationship if it goes stage V clinger or in an objective. Cole Trickle fell victim to fear itself. The act of pushing in the clutch and letting it blow was out of fear itself. He had the skills and the means to win but fear caused him to lose. Wrong pilot diameter on your flanges. Was not phased to your midship yoke. And not straightened before welding. GET IT DONE PROFESIONALLY

The driveshaft you built. Having worked in a driveshaft shop... When you have a slip shaft you still need to clock it. The splines on the shaft end could line the slip yoke off alignment by a degree or two which will make it harder, not impossible, but harder to balance. We always tried to stay within 1° in yoke clocking. My last thing is everyone is telling you go race go race... I'm saying, to you, the king of nerds... Sorry Don Pierre... It's true... What I'm saying to you is, you got any gearhead/IT jobs open? I can set virtual memory and build networks or set pinion angle and build most anything... Give me an HR email address and I will fire off a resume immediately

Note about your flange adapter. If you truly want it centered the 12mm socket head cap screws are not accurate enough to center both pieces together. Those bolts do not have the correct tolerances to keep both pieces located. I suggest going back to the mill and machine four 1/4" dowel pin holes (one pair on each piece). Machine the holes slightly under size and get them true with a reamer to get the exact size. If you need more information about how to machine dowel holes pick up a machinist handbook. It will tell you exactly what size to make the holes, Obviously one side will be "on size" and the other side will be 0.001" over size. Being proficient on locating your work pieces will be key. If you can't do that and be within a couple tenth's (0.0002") you are going to have trouble. Best wishes on your project. Hope things work out.
Lol, you mentioned the Nordlocks as i was about to post the link. They are way better at not loosing under vibration than nylock.
Don't use nylocks... They are a really weak nut

Thanks for sharing the knowledge learned on your journey of building a dream car, showing that a person with some mechanical skill and ability plus the openness to learn, try incorporating parts that were never meant originally to go together has been so exciting for me. I may never get to build your car but the spirit of building can be shared at any level by every person working on their own projects...please dont stop even once your Mazda is done... sorry if sounded cheesy....

You need to use loctite, even better if you can drill and lock wire all propshaft, drive train bolts to either themselves or a suitable anchor point

I would suggest using aircraft specification 'K' nuts rather than nylock, as they are susceptible to coming loose in areas of high vibration. Nordlock washers are also a good option. Keep up the great work. its also worth using a paint marker on all the fasteners once they are tight, fastener to the component, its then easy to see if they are coming loose.

I know the race is released on the 14th but when did rob actually do the race cuz I thought he said he was going to do it with him saying in his videos he was weeks/ days out but then he said he was a few hours out from the race and still testing the launches and all his plans kinda fell apart lol

That driveline loop is something I’m glad you have. But I hope you never have to use it.
I like how Rob goes into detail about his build. For instance, showing how the bolt holes either line up, or don't line up, and what he has done to find an adequate solution. . . Usually us viewers don't get to see the little flaws and assembly problems because we always go straight to the final product video. This build truly is a labor of love.

I could be totally wrong but isn’t that a pinion seal not a “transfer case seal” idk I’m not a mechanic but I did just replace the pinion seal in my truck
